There's an Italian painting entitled The Hall of darkness it shows a young maiden blindfolded carrying a lighted candle and walking through a dark corridor. Logically the candle illuminates the room; but what the candle reveals the blindfold conceals.
I felt a lot like the person walking through that Hall of darkness when I signed up to this site.
