This is my first blog, and just my opinions to share with you. But before I get into it, I want to tell you a little about myself. I started this as a little side hustle. I wanted to bring in a little extra cash, like so many of us want. I also wanted to bring a little kink back into my life. I never imagined that I would have lasted this long, now 3 years. It has made me some cash, brought back the kink, and I've made some new friends. I enjoy what I do here. I hope to keep enjoying it, and to make many more friends.
It's all about enjoying what you are doing. If you're not enjoying it anymore, I think you won't last for the long haul. I have never been at the top seller's page, or had the most reviews, or had the most sales. Some of us do this full time, and others do it on the side. Not everyone's journey is the same.
Be yourself. Be genuine. Find who you are in this journey and what you like, what you are into. If you're BRAND NEW to this, do your research. It's exhausting to be fake, or to put on an act all the time. The buyers will love you for who you are. Those are the kind of buyer's you want. It is a journey. It is not a race to be the best. Be supportive of other sellers. Share in the love. Give those hearts out on the dash. It's a community which we share our kinks. You hear it takes work. It's not a get rich fast world. In my opinion you have to find your groove. Your groove will change from time to time. Step away when it's just mentally draining. Allow yourself to take a day off. It's ok not to get on-site for a few days if you need it. Your mental health is important.
The work is taking the time, getting pictures done. Make some videos if you want to sell videos. Get your bio up. Listings, Listings, Listings. I've seen new sellers come on and they only have 5 listings up. Noooooooo, get those listings up. Buyers want to see what you have to offer. Post on the dash. Be seen. Repost those items. Comment on other posts. I always love to see a little sportive love on my posts.
Don't compare yourself to other sellers. This only wears on your mental health. Enjoy what the other sellers are posting. Interact and support your fellow seller's. Be a cheerleader and cheer them on. Please never copy another seller. We all work hard to come up with ideas to stand out from the crowd. If you have a similar idea as another seller, just reach out. Ask if it would be ok if you ran with your idea. Don't step on other seller's toes. It's not appreciated.
We are a community of kink. Just like in our vanilla lives, not everyone is going to get along. That's ok. Such as life. The block button or unfollow button is your friend. Please don't air your dirty laundry out for everyone to see. (Pun intended. Lol) No one wants to see the negatively on the dash.
We all come from different walks of life. The world is already negative enough in our real lives. We don't need to bring the drama into our kinky fantasy community.
Don't sell yourself short. It won't last, and you won't be here for very long, and again it's not healthy. Know that you are beautiful. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about you. Only what you think about yourself. Buyer's love confidence. If you're just not there yet having the confidence in yourself, fake it till you make it. It will come. Learn to love yourself. We all have bad days. We all have scars. We all have stretch marks. Love all of you.
If someone doesn't like you, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Just move on. As they say, so many more fish in the see.
Be kind to one another. ? We have all heard, kindness is free.
We all have different ways of running our shops. To each is their own. Don't worry about what someone else is doing. We all use different ways of shipping, we live in different countries, we may provide cards, and wrapping, etc. Everyone is going to do it just a little different than what you do it. That's because it is your shop, and no one else's.
The most important thing is to just have fun with it. We all do this for different reasons, but the minute you stop having fun, your shop will suffer.
I hope you enjoyed some of my wisdom to part with. Maybe I'll part with some more for a future blog.
Thank you for reading. Buyer's and Seller's, you are always welcome to, #comeringmybell ??
